Our Training Program

At Fetch'em Up Kennels it is our goal to cause your dog to be the very best it can be.  Unlike many other kennels that try to fit your dog into a very strict program, we tailor our training to your dog.  Dogs are a lot like people in the sense that they do not all learn exactly the same way.  Some dogs are hyper and stubborn while others are very mild and soft.  Different dogs require different methods.  We will try various methods until we find the one right for your dog.

Basic Gun Dog:

This is a dog that will heel, sit on whistle, be steady to shot, deliver birds to hand, perform double marked retrieves on land and in water.  Average training time required is 4 to 5 months. 

Advanced Gun Dog:

This dog will have completed the Basic Gun Dog Program and also be able to perform blind retrieves over 100 yards with whistle commands and hand signals on land and in water.  Average training time required is 4 to 5 months after completion of the Basic Gun Dog Program.

Living Conditions:

All dogs stay in our Priefert Kennels on a covered concrete slab.  We transport all dogs in our Deerskin stainless steel dog trailer that is fully insulated with cooling fans and heating lamps to insure your dogs safety.  All dogs are given fresh water daily and are fed PMI Exclusive Performance Brand Dog Food.

Pricing:

Our training fee is $450 per month with the first month being paid in advance.  All food, and birds are included in this price.  We are limited to 18 client dogs so reserve your spot in advance!
